University of Memphis junior defensive tackle Dontari Poe will forgo his senior season and enter the NFL Draft.

University of Memphis junior defensive tackle Dontari Poe will forgo his senior season and enter the NFL Draft in April.

In 2011, Poe had 22 tackles -- 14 of which were solo stops -- and one sack.

"This was the best decision for me...bt I will always LOVE MEMPHIS!!!!!!!!" Poe wrote on his Twitter account Friday.

The 6-foot-5, 350-pound lineman from Wooddale High School compiled 87 tackles and five sacks in his career for the Tigers.

Poe is projected to be drafted as early as the first round in some draft services.
