New Orleans, La. -- Five University of Memphis players finished in double figures as the Tigers overcame a sluggish first half to rout Tulane, 82-64, at Fogelman Arena.
The win was the Tigers' fourth straight. Memphis remains tied for first place in Conference USA with Southern Miss, which won in overtime against Tulsa Wednesday night.
The Green Wave, led by Josh Davis's 19 points, led Memphis at halftime, 33-32, behind three 3-pointers from Jordan Callahan. Tulane shot 39 percent from the arc and 46.2 percent overall.
Memphis used a 16-1 run in the second half to pull away from the Green Wave. Sophomore guard Will Barton finished with 20 points, nine rebounds, and seven assists for the Tigers. Sophomore forward Tarik Black added 18 points.
Memphis shot 62 percent for the game.
The Tigers return home to play UTEP on Saturday. The two teams last met when Memphis punched its ticket to the NCAA tournament with a dramatic come-from-behind victory against the Miners in the C-USA tournament championship game.
