Justin North has offers from Memphis, Bowling Green, and Massachusetts, and he plans to take official visits to all three this fall. While Memphis leads for North’s skills, there are things he likes about each program.
“Memphis, I feel like their strength and conditioning coach would get me bigger and more fit for the next level of football,” North said.
“Bowling Green, I like their facilities, their stadium, it looks pretty new. (I like) the indoor facility, the equipment room, the weight room, basically I just like everything about the facilities.”
“Umass, I haven’t really done that much research on them, but I heard they’re a program on the rise and I like their schedule.”
Rutgers, Southern Miss, FIU, and FAU are among the other programs that have expressed interest in North. He’s also been hearing a lot from Georgia Tech and he hopes an offer from the Yellow Jackets is in the future.
“I like their coaching staff and I did pretty well at the camp, they asked for my transcripts and everything. Basically I’ll hear back from them when they can contact me, but I can still contact them. Every time I have free time I call them and they give me good news most of the time, so an offer should be on the way,” he said.
“I like everything about them, but the depth chart has a lot of linebackers.”
North says unless something unexpected happens, he plans to commit on Signing Day. At this point, he’s mostly focused on his senior season and finishing strong.
“This season, I want to put the defense on the map, how it was, and have shutouts against the top of the line programs.”
