Memphis is #7
According to Scout.com's
basketball expert, Dave Telep, the University of Memphis has the 7th
best 2005 recruiting class.
SF Shawne Williams (Laurinburg
Prep) Laurinburg, NC 6-8
PG Chris Douglas-Roberts (Northwestern HS) Detroit, MI 6-5
SG Antonio Anderson (Laurinburg Prep) Laurinburg, NC 6-4
SF Ricky Sanchez (IMG Academy) Bradenton, FL 6-11
SF Robert Dozier (Laurinburg Prep) Laurinburg, NC 6-8
This of course is based on
all of these players showing up for the 2005-06 season.
The University of Memphis
seems to be the NCAA version of the old sitcom, SOAP.
Will Shawne Williams jump
to the NBA?
Will Robert Dozier actually
sign with the Tigers?
If Memphis can somehow get
all of these guys to play in the 2005-06 season, they will be in great
shape. Although Sean Banks will most likely depart after this season,
the Tigers will be loaded at point and shooting guard. The athleticism
and size of this recruiting class will keep Memphis at the top for years
to come.
